Lonestar Physical Therapy & Sports Performance Can Help!

Get Back to Life Without Neck Pain Holding You Back

Neck pain can affect more than your comfort. It can make working, driving, sleeping, exercising, or simply turning your head more difficult and may even contribute to headaches or symptoms into your shoulder and arm.

At Lonestar Physical Therapy & Sports Performance, we take the time to understand your neck pain, how it affects your life, and what you want to get back to doing. Your Doctor of Physical Therapy will identify the factors contributing to your symptoms and create an individualized plan to help you move better, build strength, and return to the activities that matter most.

Understanding Your Neck Pain

Neck pain can begin suddenly after an injury or develop gradually over time. You may experience stiffness, limited motion, muscle tension, headaches, or symptoms that travel into your shoulder, arm, or hand.

Because neck pain can have many contributing factors, we look beyond where you hurt. Your Doctor of Physical Therapy will assess your neck and upper body mobility, strength, movement, and neurologic function when appropriate to better understand your symptoms and determine the right approach for you.

Common Neck Pain Conditions

Neck Pain & Stiffness

Pain and stiffness can make turning your head, working, driving, sleeping, and everyday movement uncomfortable. We evaluate the factors affecting your mobility and develop a plan to help restore comfortable movement and function.

Cervical Radiculopathy

Irritation of a nerve in the neck can contribute to pain, numbness, tingling, or weakness that travels into the shoulder, arm, or hand. We assess your movement and neurologic function to determine the appropriate approach for your symptoms.

Headaches Related to the Neck

Some headaches can be influenced by the joints, muscles, and movement of the neck. A comprehensive evaluation helps determine whether your neck may be contributing to your headaches and whether physical therapy is appropriate.

Whiplash Injuries

A sudden force to the neck can result in pain, stiffness, headaches, and difficulty with everyday movement. Treatment focuses on restoring comfortable motion and progressively rebuilding strength and confidence following injury.
